Hosting World, Make My Month

Quiet Lately for Web Hosting (bored webmaster thinks aloud)

HostingCon is over and there aren’t many interesting things happening at the moment, as far as I can tell. Files are still ensconsed obediently on server drives, being accessed whenever users decide to access them. Datacenters are still running their air conditioners underneath bright flourescent lights. People are writing about their HostingCon experiences. But, I’m in the mood for something new. Someone make my month!

Ideal Web Hosting : WebHostingInsider

by Jim Mattson

Life is rarely perfect. You already know while Shangri La is a great idea, it just doesn’t exist. You learn to make do with living in the next best option, San Francisco. The spring of water gushing up to eternal life, not to be found. Will Diet Coke do? If you are shopping for a web hosting company and seek perfection, you may have to lower your standards a bit and compromise to “pretty good hosting”. In such matters, as always, the issues boil down to this matrix: 1> Price 2> Quality/Speed 3> Service/Support

Why Paid Web host provider?

by CJ Thompson

Many beginner webmasters may wounder why someone would pay for web hosting when there are free web host available. Free web host aren’t the best idea if you plan to run a successful long term business on the internet. With free web hosting your site isn’t guaranteed to be up and running, and many free host erase sites after they been running for so long, that it’s self is bad. If you work to promote your free website, all that work will be for nothing when your site is erased, all them back links they mean nothing when there’s no website. Another reason why you wouldn’t want to build a website using a free server is because of the domain name, you don’t get to pick your domain name with free server, it will be instead of I think the Internet world gives more respect to a website that’s got a good domain name.
